    What You'll Do

    The PAINT SHOP SUPERVISOR is responsible for the preparation and painting of carbon parts at ENVE Composites. The supervisor is actively engaged in training/coaching employees, painting finished goods, managing inventory, and working with engineering/plant manager in refining production process.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Paints product in multiple stages
    • Operate equipment such as hand sanders and drill presses to produce product
    • Cleans each part and ensures the part is ready for final build/packaging
    • Coaches/supervises a team of 4-6 employees
    • Ensures that paint shop production is meeting current demand
    • Maintains SDS for the paint shop and ensures compliance with all safety standards

    Additional Duties & Responsibilities

    • Consults engineering on new product development to reduce waste, improve durability, etc. 
    • Works in conjunction with engineering/operations to reduce process creep, refine process, and troubleshoot various scrap issues
    • Other duties as assigned

    What We're Looking For

    This role requires the ability to lead a team by example, demonstrating excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for producing the highest quality finished product.

    Additional qualifications include:
    • 2-5 years of experience painting high quality small parts 
    • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
    • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
    • Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of composite parts and assemblies
    • Experience in using hand tools including hand sanders, drill press, heat lamp, dremel tools, 
    • Ability to read and interpret a variety of routine engineering design drawings 

    Physical Environment/Working Conditions
    • Must be able to work in a loud, dusty environment with varying temperatures
    • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment required for painting
    • Must be able to lift tools and assemblies weighing up to 60 pounds
    • May be required to work extended hours
    • Requires standing for long periods of time. Lifting bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
