  • Overview

    The field Merchandiser works to drive sales by developing and executing compelling product merchandise propositions for customers and consumers within brand guidelines for Arc’teryx. Its mission is to grow brand soft goods sell-in and drive sell-through for the customer within the wholesale environment to achieve and exceed targets within the territory.

    What You'll Do

    • Superior execution of merchandise planning, assortment building, flow & color coordination within the wholesale environment by maximizing use of in-store solutions, fixtures, back walls, etc..
    • Work very closely with sales department NAMs, TMs as well as buyers from Strategic accounts, Premium Partners during pre-line, and previews to create specific account merchandise plans that incorporate key concept / stories for each season
    • Create best-in-class, visually appealing assortments within the store environment that drive sales, communicate key concepts / stories within the brand visual guidelines
    • Utilize cross merchandising skills to present compelling consumer stories for apparel, footwear, gear and accessories by sport activity
    • Demonstrate excellence in tracking, measuring, reporting and collaborating against the key merchandising performance indicators
    • Train and coach NAMs, and TMs in key areas of merchandising principles and practices to elevate salesmanship

    What We're Looking For

    • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience
    • Experience gained in apparel visual merchandising at retail or with apparel brand(s)
    • Functional experience in:
      • Product merchandise planning / buying
      • Branded space management & fixture capacity planning
      • Visual merchandising
      • Setting and maintaining displays according to brand guidelines
      • Maintaining windows and mannequin displays
      • Usage of necessary tools such as hammers, screws, staple guns, ladders, mannequin units, scissors, glue guns, paint, and other hardware as necessary
    • Experience in utilizing merchandising planning skills for sell-in meetings & presentations
    • Experience in organizing and completing multiple projects simultaneously
    • S. or B.A. In Business, Marketing or Related Field or visual merchandising specific education programs.
