    Position Overview
    Salomon, Atomic, and Suunto are looking for a Senior Manager of In-Store Experience Americas to lead B2B marketing initiatives that elevate the consumer experience within the outdoor specialty and strategic account channels focused in North America. This position will work with some of the world’s best brands in the areas of skiing, running, hiking, fitness, outdoors and more. As part of a dynamic team of the Americas brand, trade and digital professionals, the Senior Manager of In-Store Experience will engage and inspire the consumer at the place of purchase, creating the in-store experience playbook in conjunction with Salomon, Atomic and Suunto brand managers to drive sell-through and elevate the sell-in process for the sales organization.

     

    What You'll Do

    Position Overview
    Salomon, Atomic, and Suunto are looking for a Senior Manager of In-Store Experience Americas to lead B2B marketing initiatives that elevate the consumer experience within the outdoor specialty and strategic account channels focused in North America. This position will work with some of the world’s best brands in the areas of skiing, running, hiking, fitness, outdoors and more. As part of a dynamic team of the Americas brand, trade and digital professionals, the Senior Manager of In-Store Experience will engage and inspire the consumer at the place of purchase, creating the in-store experience playbook in conjunction with Salomon, Atomic and Suunto brand managers to drive sell-through and elevate the sell-in process for the sales organization.
    Accountabilities / Essential Job Functions
    In-Store Marketing Leadership
    • While supporting regional commercial plans, collaborate with North America marketing managers to drive the creation and execution of seasonal in-store marketing plans for the Salomon, Suunto, and Atomic on time, in full and on budget
    • Continually look for synergies, scale and cost savings across marketing plans for the ASA portfolio
    • Present the Salomon, Suunto, and Atomic brands to consumers within the B2B where-to-play choices in compliance with brand equity guidelines
    • Own the USA Premium Partner Network (specialty channel) marketing strategies and programs in conjunction with the brand-marketing managers to deliver sales and market share growth in accordance with the commercial plans
    • Support the in-store marketing strategies and programs for strategic national accounts (REI, Backcountry, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Cabela’s, etc.) in conjunction with the North American brand and sales managers according to the marketing calendar
    • Act as a liaison between sales, brand marketing and other staff functions to ensure that customer execution is in line with strategic brand and category objectives
    • Collaborate with and support the Sr. Consumer Experience Manager – Canada to ensure all in-store experience playbooks meet the country needs, to standard, delivered on-time and maintained seasonally to insure success at sell-in / sell-through within
    • Canada where-to-play choices
    • Understand in-store, brick and mortar, and competitive landscape to provide stakeholders with insights and context on what is happening in the market within the B2B channel

    In-store Solutions
    • Full accountability and budget oversight for all in-store solution programs / elements in North America for Salomon, Suunto and Atomic as directed by the North American brand managers within the regional commercial business plans
    • Work with the global in-store teams in the planning, creation, production and delivery of in-store solutions for North America in accordance to the North American brand manager marketing plans
    • Work with the internal graphics team and external agencies to brief on the creation of industry leading sell-in, trade and in-store solutions when not provided by global brand
    • Collaborate with and support the Sr. Consumer Experience Manager – Canada to ensure all in-store solution needs are developed to country standards, delivered on-time and maintained seasonally, in line with key initiatives and within budget
    • Continually review in-store experience go-to-market approach, and collaborate with stakeholders in an effort to improve and
    • optimize processes, procedures, strategies and vendors across the countries and within the region
    Sell-in
    • Collaborate, support and help execute sell-in events or activations such as dealer launches, regional trade shows, consumer or dealer expositions in conjunction with commercial, marketing and sales as briefed by the brand
    • Lead the planning and execution of marketing elements for commercially driven sales programs that include in-store experience elements such as sales contests, in-store solutions, swag, etc. in collaboration with National Sales Director – Outdoor Specialty, and commercial and marketing functions
    • Create, execute, and train the outdoor specialty sales team on the seasonal sell-in presentation that merchandises the channel right assortment by door type, and delivers key seasonal marketing initiatives across the consumer touch point model that drives sell-through of the seasonal assortment
    • Collaborate on the development of in-store marketing strategies, programs and execution for strategic accounts (REI, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Cabela’s, Scheel’s, etc.)
    • Digital Marketing Execution within Specialty Channel
    • Work closely with the North America Digital Marketing team to execute the digital seasonal sell-through toolbox and campaigns within the Premium Partner Network (Promoboxx); train sales team to understand and properly execute and demonstrate tools.
    • Ensure implementation and increase usage of seasonal digital campaigns across social media / websites within the specialty sales organization across the Premium Partner Network
    • People Management
    • Lead, develop, and coach In-Store Experience Specialist and In-Store Experience Intern
    • Conduct performance reviews, CFS and developmental programs for team
    • Identify, manage, coach or handle disciplinary matters within team
    • Target setting (KPIs / MBOs) that are fully aligned with Commercial / Brand KBDs
    • Drive and build our winning culture through the Great Team Member experience programs
    Accountabilities / Essential Job Functions (cont.)
    Vendor Management
    • Select and manage external vendor partners (creative, production) as required to deliver in store experiences and solutions aligned with North America brand marketing objectives
    • Negotiate annual contracts to ensure expectations are met within budget parameters
    • Budgeting and Reporting
    • Build, track and report results relative to brand and commercial priorities, including market share, funnel metrics, ROI
    • Manage, track and process all invoices related to all in-store experience marketing activities and programs to ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, paid on time and result in a positive ROI
    • Manage budget, design and execute marketing programs/plans linked to KBDs in order to reach in-store excellence targets and organizational goals.
    • As part of the overall annual marketing budget process, plan and manage the annual in-store excellence budgets for
    • all ASA brands to include but not limited to in-store solutions, windows, sales contests, MDF, CO-OP, and others as assigned

     

    What We're Looking For

    Requirements
    • At least 7 years of retail, trade, channel and key account marketing experience on either the client or agency side
    • Background in fashion, lifestyle or outdoor industries strongly preferred
    • Prior experience with in-store solution design and production, project management, retail math, visual merchandising, merchandising, procurement, analytics, and budget management
    • In-depth knowledge of seasonal marketing programs, sell-in support, co-op, trade shows, dealer events, sales
    • programs, space management with key accounts and recommender marketing with store staff
    • Understanding of the go-to-market process and calendar
