What You'll Do

 

Job purpose: Lead distribution and logistics related projects and analysis that aim at examining 4-wall operation, inbound/outbound and inventory control within ASA. Review and document current processes, identify improvement opportunities, lead process improvement and training activities required to assure successful change.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities including but not limited to:

 

KPI reporting and decision support:

  • Coordinate reporting and controlling of all divisions within ASA Distribution and Logistics scope
  • Participate in overall monitoring of KPI's, as well as key programs/projects
  • Analyses trends, call out risks and trend deviation
  • Develop and improve reporting systems or new KPI’s, to support and steer business acceleration and drive D&T performance measurement and improvement
  • Facilitate KPI-driven culture to enable a successful execution of the ASA Distribution and Logistics strategic roadmap
  • Assist in supervision of the budgeting and forecasting process

 

Freight:

  • Support logistics teams; Global Inbound and Regional Outbound at compiling and analyzing data, generating reports to measure Business and Carriers’ performance.
  • Assist at KPI’s setting and tracking
  • Liaise with Brands (Planning and Commercial Teams) to obtain and align on forecast to be shared with warehouses and Carriers (ocean inbound and outbound both; parcel and LTL/TL).
  • Participate in exploring, reviewing and identifying systems that can enhance visibility and allow for better control of product move into and out of AS warehouses.
  • Seek opportunities to reduce freight lead-time and costs.

 

Distribution/fulfilment:

  • Maintain and monitor data for DC performance.
  • Identify and track operations and Customer service-related challenges, present to Management on regular basis, follow up on remedies and implementation of solutions, report progress, create SOP’s when required.
  • Work with DC Managers on continuous improvement projects to improve service and reduce cost.

 

Inventory Control:

  • Lead coordination of inventory cycle count and full physical count process with ASA DC locations.
  • Analysis inventory adjustments activities and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
  • Work with Finance and Management to ensure audit compliance on inventory control processes.
  • Coordinate with Brands to execute EMG (everything must go) policy. 

Project management:

  • Leads regional projects within ASA Distribution and Logistics scope, in strong collaboration with all stakeholders from Brands, Countries and IT
  • Participates in international programs to raise synergy potentials within the Amer-group (best practice sharing, training tools, reporting tools, planning tools, etc.)
  • Possess superior communication skills and liaise with different stakeholders in order to mobilize resources

What We're Looking For

Required

  • University degree with emphasis in either: Logistics, Supply Chain, Operation, Finance, Business or similar discipline.
  • 5 + years of experience in operations preferably distribution (warehousing/fulfillment and logistics)
    • Exposure to international shipping/freight forwarding
  • 3PL Experience
  • Outstanding analytical skills, solution oriented, proven ability on process improvement
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Skilled in performing trend analysis
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, great business presentation skills; ability to communicate with all levels of Stakeholders effectively.
  • Self-motivated; ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs
    • Advanced Excel skills.

Assets

  • SAP knowledge.
  • Strong finance acumen.
  • LEAN experience or education
  • Preferred:
    • Knowledge of Customs processes, Free Trade Agreements (NAFTA etc.), Cross Border shipping etc.
    • Knowledge of Incoterms
