What You'll Do

We are looking for a Commercial Specialist to support and provide input to the Commercial/Market Manager throughout the annual go-to-market cycle.  This role will collaborate with the Manager and provide support in-line with Atomic global and regional brand strategies to achieve sales, market share, distribution, and profit objectives for the USA.  This includes participation in the BP process, assortment planning as well as providing support for forecasting and entering product forecasting and tracking.  Finally, the Commercial Specialist is the primary organizer of all things product including communication, training, showroom and samples.

 

General Commercial duties may include:

  • Support Atomic Commercial/Market Manager to ensure that all objectives are met
  • Assist in the evaluation of the market(s) and competitor landscape to validate the objectives and plans by channel & assist in activating the key business drivers for success in the market.
  • Gathers market intelligence and research as well as competitive information.
  • Assist in product forecasting and formal entry and tracking
  • Collaboration & coordination with Atomic Marketing on initiatives to build best of class Go-to-Market experiences and collaborate on building out in-store presence and promotional programs.
  • Responsible for cataloging sales programs, price lists, and supporting GTM materials.
  • Sales meeting & event liaison to sales operations
  • Binding certification, shop practices/spare parts manual. Owns Shop Pro training
  • Key contact for product information and warranty. Ongoing training for CS group

Global Roll-up/Local Interface:  This role will interface with Brand development teams at the PM level across all BUs.

  • Point person for product updates and communication to the field Sales team from Global BUs.
  • Point person for the relay of market intelligence and research as well as competitive information to the Global BUs.
  • Participation and contribution in documenting and evaluation of product validation process.
  • Participation in global BP process

Sample & Test Fleet Ordering & Management:  The Specialist coordinates with the global supply team on timing and ordering throughout the sample/demo ordering process.

  • Ordering w/ guidance from CM & Marketing
  • Organization & distribution of sample & Demo needs: key accounts, show rooms, trade show, Media & PR needs.
  • Rep sample demo order entry and tracking
  • Mounting, Tuning and general preparation of all sample sets
  • General Organization and participation for test events

What We're Looking For

This role requires a B.S. or B.A. in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.  Prior experience in Retail or Trade is highly preferred.  Other qualifications include:

  • Excellent project management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Planning and organizing
  • Achieving personal work goals and objectives
  • Relating and networking
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Language: English, Bilingual a plus
  • Experience in the winter sports industry preferred, passion for the outdoors a must
