What You'll Do

This role oversees controlling and business analysis for Suunto America and works in close collaboration with the local team in Ogden, as well as with HQ in Finland.  We seek an ambitious and motivated person who loves numbers and planning and is passionate about the outdoors.

  • Responsible for controlling all P&L and working capital Balance Sheet items (sales receivables) including reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Develop sales reporting and forecasting; finance representative in sales planning (part of S&OP)
  • Approve customer contracts / trade terms within agreed approval limits, escalation to global when limits exceeded.
  • Audit / controlling of pricing and discounts.
  • Approval for exceptions to and controlling of pricing, discounts, payment terms within defined limits.
  • Key customer profitability reporting, analysis and planning.
  • Sales incentive calculations for own region.
  • Leading monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and planning rounds in own region.
  • Contribute to new product pricing decisions and analyze in-market portfolio price performance.

  • 1 to 3 years of controlling and business analysis experience
  • Strong commercial thinking & business acumen
  • Financial analysis and planning skills
  • People and network leadership skills
  • Ready to deliver both short term and long term
  • Passion for outdoor activities and a get after it mentality
  • Strong work ethic

Education:  Undergraduate Degree in business with focus in accounting / finance


Proficiency in English


Computer Skills:

  • SAP
  • Hyperion
  • Power BI
  • AF&O
  • Microsoft Office and Adobe CS

Travel:  passport and able to travel domestic / international
