Overview

As a member of the After Sales Service & Warranty team, the After Sales technician position will be responsible for assessing consumer and dealer warranty claims for all Amer Sports brands. This includes physical and virtual inspection of products to determine the validity of warranty claims. The role will provide product knowledge to the Consumer Experience team and assist them in identifying solutions for dealers and consumers. This role has daily responsibility for managing warranty claims and communicating outcomes with dealers and consumers via email/phone. Responsible for daily duties in the service center, including cleaning, organizing, shipping, receiving, and assisting brand leaders with special projects within the service center.

 

This position will be supporting the Amer Sports customers in Quebec, Canada. French language skills are not required, but candidates who demonstrate the ability to speak and write French at a conversational level are eligible for pay differential.   

What You'll Do

The role will provide product knowledge to the Consumer Experience team and assist them in identifying solutions for dealers and consumers. This role has daily responsibility for managing warranty claims and communicating outcomes with dealers and consumers via email/phone. Responsible for daily duties in the service center, including cleaning, organizing, shipping, receiving, and assisting brand leaders with special projects within the service center.

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily: 

  • Utilize Salesforce to manage communication with dealers and consumer support team regarding warranty claims
  • Ensure communication with customer meets Amer Sports standards
  • Inspect product returns and make decisions, consistent with Amer Sports policy and procedure, regarding warranty coverage or denial
  • Create orders in SAP to credit or send replacement products to customers
  • Support the customer experience team by responding to inquires (Salesforce, phone, email)
  • Manage non-inventoried spare parts, including labeling, bagging, and organizing spare parts for boots, bindings, and skis
  • Perform day to day duties at the service center, including cleaning, organizing, shipping, and receiving
  • Assisting brand and category leaders with various projects within the service center
  • Ongoing review warranty orderbook to ensure fulfillment of warranty and spare parts orders

What We're Looking For

This role requires a high school diploma.  We are looking for a candidate with 6 months of strong experience in related ski-shop work.  Other qualifications include:

  • High School Degree or equivalent experience

  • 6 months related experience-ski shop work preferred, not required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams) 

  • SAP and Salesforce knowledge preferred, but not required

  • Basic Mechanical and Repair skills

  • Ability to become Salomon/Atomic/Armada Certified Binding Technician

  • Ability to become Forklift Certified

  • Strong reading and logistical skills, attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficient decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and set priorities

  • General Knowledge outdoor and ski industry preferred, but not required
